Logistics Manager

The Logistics Manager will oversee and manage the importing and exporting of all products including acquisitions and shipments across North America and the Caribbean.  

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Manage Logistics personnel 
• Create processes to easily track and cost the shipments

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Work closely and establish great communication with accounting, quote specialists, and project managers on shipping racking systems to our customers in a timeline manner and at the lowest cost
• Create & send PO’s to brokers and obtain BOL’s on all shipments.
• Create Got Rack BOL’s if needed on multiple truck load shipments.
• Oversee and manage other logistics team members including interviews, training, disciplinary actions and employment decisions
• Manage logistics projects and processes with warehouse team, transportation brokers, customers and installers. 
• Address any complaints or problems and resolve them in an efficient manner.
• Comply with all regulations, laws, policies, and DOT requirements. 
• Coordinate with customers or installers on ship date, receiving hours and confirm forklift or other equipment is available to off load material.
• Schedule appointments for all incoming materials.
• Track and retain records of BOLs, brokers, trucks, materials, and processes, including photos of all shipments

Required Skills/Abilities: 

• Microsoft Office Suite to include Excel and Outlook required
• QuickBooks experience preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Able to prioritize, delegate, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work autonomously
• Significant work experience in logistics, supply chain, or relevant field

Education and Experience:

• Minimum 3 years Logistics experience in a manufacturing, construction, or industrial environment required
• Bachelor’s Degree in logistics, supply chain, or business administration preferred

Physical Requirements: 

• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
