Logistics Manager

The Logistics Manager will oversee and manage the importing and exporting of all products including acquisitions and shipments across North America and the Caribbean.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Manage Logistics personnel
- Create processes to easily track and cost the shipments
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Work closely and establish great communication with accounting, quote specialists, and project managers on shipping racking systems to our customers in a timeline manner and at the lowest cost
- Create & send PO’s to brokers and obtain BOL’s on all shipments.
- Create Got Rack BOL’s if needed on multiple truck load shipments.
- Oversee and manage other logistics team members including interviews, training, disciplinary actions and employment decisions
- Manage logistics projects and processes with warehouse team, transportation brokers, customers and installers.
- Address any complaints or problems and resolve them in an efficient manner.
- Comply with all regulations, laws, policies, and DOT requirements.
- Coordinate with customers or installers on ship date, receiving hours and confirm forklift or other equipment is available to off load material.
- Schedule appointments for all incoming materials.
- Track and retain records of BOLs, brokers, trucks, materials, and processes, including photos of all shipments
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Microsoft Office Suite to include Excel and Outlook required
- QuickBooks experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Able to prioritize, delegate, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work autonomously
- Significant work experience in logistics, supply chain, or relevant field
Education and Experience:
- Minimum 3 years Logistics experience in a manufacturing, construction, or industrial environment required
- Bachelor’s Degree in logistics, supply chain, or business administration preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
