YOUR DAY TO DAY
- Facilitate the procurement of industrial racking materials and other supplies, ensuring timely delivery and optimal cost-effectiveness.
- Establish, nurture, and manage vendor relationships, negotiating contracts and pricing.
- Continuously assess and manage supply chain risks, identifying and executing strategies for mitigation.
- Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to forecast supply needs.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, potential suppliers, and emerging opportunities for cost savings.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of purchase orders and maintain documentation for audit purposes.
- Monitor inventory levels, facilitating replenishment actions as necessary.
- Address discrepancies between purchase orders and deliveries, working closely with vendors to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably within the industrial racking or related industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to establish and maintain positive vendor relationships.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- An analytical mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to work collaboratively across departments.
